Dikko Radda calls for support from residents to fight insecurity in Katsina

Dikko Radda, governor of Katsina, has called for more support from residents to fight insecurity bedeviling the state.

The governor, in his New Year’s message on Monday signed by Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, his chief press secretary, urged the people to join hands together and forge a stronger bond.

He expressed his administration’s commitment to promoting inclusivity, economic growth and accelerated development in the state.

Radda thanked the people for the support he received towards the establishment of the Katsina community watch corps, set up to tackle insecurity in the state.

“The government, together with the people, will deal a resounding blow to the menace of insecurity,” Radda said.

He advised citizens of Katsina to utilise the opportunities being created to reduce unemployment and poverty and set the state on the path of greatness.

The governor reiterated his optimism that the state would be great and prosperous in 2024.

He urged the people not to relent in their support to government as it strives to holistically address the challenges plaguing the state.
